1.Basic operation principle
Xenon lamp refers to the high-pressure gas discharge lamp without the filament of halogen lamp, which is filled with a mixture of inert gases including xenon. It is called HID xenon lamp for short, and can be called heavy metal lamp or xenon lamp. Its luminous principle is to form an arc between two electrodes and emit light through starter and electronic ballast.
a. HID lamp is three times brighter than halogen lamp, which can improve the visibility of driving at night and in fog.
b. The luminous flux emitted by xenon lamps is more than twice that of halogen lamps, and the efficiency of converting electric energy into light energy is also more than 70% higher than that of halogen lamps. Therefore, xenon lamps have relatively high energy density and light intensity, while the operating current is only half of that of halogen lamps. The improvement of the brightness of car headlights also effectively expands the visual range in front of the car, thus creating safer driving conditions.
c. Energy saving 1/2, halogen lamps use more than 60W of power, xenon lamps only 35W of power.
d. Because the xenon lamp does not have a filament, so there will be no filament broken and scrapped because of the problem, the service life is much longer than the halogen lamp, xenon lamp service life is equivalent to the average life of the car in all the running time.
e. Xenon lights do not go out instantly in the event of a fault, but by gradually dim way out (or quickly lit), so that motorists can drive in the night to gain time, emergency parking.
